Rachel is a Registered Psychologist based on Victoria’s beautiful Mornington Peninsula. Rachel specialises in behaviour and can provide Applied Behaviour Analysis / Verbal Behaviour Programs for children with an autism spectrum disorder or related disorder. Rachel is a passionate advocate of families of children with autism and seeks to help families through effective and evidence based early intervention programs.
Rachel has several years experience working in the field of ABA and Psychology in Sydney, London and now Melbourne. Rachel has also worked as a Psychologist in schools and private practice providing counseling and support to children experiencing a range of difficulties such as anxiety, depression or family breakdown.
Services are typically provided in the family’s home or childcare / preschool / school setting. Rachel is committed to creating flexible and individually tailored programs depending on the child and family’s needs. Behaviour Analysis is a highly effective treatment for children with an Autism Spectrum Disorder and Rachel utilises a contemporary approach to ABA with a focus on Verbal Behaviour principles. This includes a focus on teaching language in the natural environment and reducing and replacing inappropriate or dysfunctional behaviours.
Rachel is a registered Medicare provider, Associate Member of the Australian Psychological Society and an APS Autism and PDD Identified Practitioner. Rachel has been accepted on the Early Intervention Service Provider Panel under the Helping Children with Autism (HCWA) package. Services provided by Rachel McGregor may be claimed under the HWCA scheme for eligible children aged 0-6 years.
Rachel is also starting her certification as a Board Certified Associate Behaviour Analyst through the Behaviour Analysts Certification Board (BACB).
